About me

Fabric in Rolls

Textiles has a huge influence on my practice. The patterns, colours and types of materials can symbolise different people, hobbies and personalities. Each piece of fabric speaks its own voice! Free machine embroidery is my drawing tool.

Born in Carlisle, currently studying a Fine Art degree at the University of Cumbria. I am a fine artist working mainly with textiles, photography, installation and sculpture. The themes I demonstrate through my work is a sense of nostalgia, memories past and present. See the work page for further infomation and images.

Lens Zoom

Lens based media is very important within my practice. Preserving memories and keeping them for the future. By reproducing copies of photographs gives the original a new lease of life and a voice, and perhaps elevates the photograph. Recently working with film and audio has had a positive impact on my practice as I have discovered I enjoy working alongside the themes of fact or an illusion.
